Watch the following clips on the Dalia Lama:

1.) Give a brief description of who the Dalai Lama is? (Include resources to support)

The Dalai Lama teaches Buddhism and tries to get the good side out of everyone. He wants to create peace with everyone, even people with other religions.

2.) Evaluate how the actions of the Dalai Lama in regard to the riots in Tibet would be regarded as exemplary moral integrity.

The Dalai Lama is trying to prevent the the Tibetans from getting killed or severely injured during the riots. he is willing to lose his role as the Dalai Lama to help other people.

Watch the following clip on Maximillian Kolbe:

1.) Define the term ‘moral integrity’

Moral integrity is the descission you make in different situations. It reflects in your actions showing if you do the right thing or make a bad descission by doing something negative.

2.) Describe why Maximillian Kolbe is regarded as a Christian of exemplary moral integrity.

Maximillian Kolbe was reguarded as a christian of exemplary moral integrity because of all the positive decisions he made. Maximilian Kolbe always made the right decisions and put other peoples needs before himself.

3.) Outline Maximillians ethical actions/principles that he demonstrated in Auschwitz.

Maximillian Kolbe had done many things for the people around him which made him such a great person. one of the most notable actions he done was to die for a man that he didn’t know well because that man had a wife and kids, this showed that Maximillian was not selfish and definitely put others people’s needs before his own.

4.) Evaluate whether you think he made the right decision and provide research to support your answer. i.e. Catholic teachings.
Maximillian  definitely did the right thing by dying for a man he wasn’t related to because it showed the rest of the prisoners not to be selfish. a classic and most important example of what Maximillian had done is very similar to what Jesus Christ had done to save all of us.

1. Watch the following video:

1.) Explain the purpose of using ‘youtube’ as a source of digital media advertising?

Today YouTube is THE most popular site for accessing videos. YouTube contains videos of allmost everything and most people know that. Youtube is the easiest way to watch video’s and this is how it got as popular as it is today.

2.) Discuss how collaborative media sites such as youtube, myspace and bebo have changed the current boundaries of media such as news, advertising ect.

People choose to advertise a product e.g. coke on popular sites such as youtube and myspace because they know millions of people access those websites everyday which could increase the popularity of their product.

3.) Provide a link to an advertising commercial on youtube.

 Watch this clip

Scenario 1: You are on a train coming home from a day at the beach. The train stops at a station and a group a youths get on the train and start bashing an elderly ethnic man. You notice people getting off the train.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

In this situation i would probably call the police and paramedics to come to the location asap. I would probably not get into the fight as their is many of them and i would probably get severely injured.

Scenario 2: You get a message from a girl that you are interested asking you to come over her house. When you get there a number of her friends are present and they say they are bored. One of them promotes the idea of going for a walk and causing a riot. At first you tell them “No way”. However, the girl you like states that “she will like you more if you go”.

Discuss what you would do in this situation.

I would definitely not go because i would not want to hurt other people or possibly get bashed by other people, and i know by doing this i would probably go to jail depending on how much harm i have caused to other people. I would also try and convince  her friends not to go and briefly explain why not to go and what the consequences are if they do cause a riot.

http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/knife-arrest-cop-pelted/2008/03/24/1206206967590.html

Discuss the reasons why the 25 year old man mentioned in the article would be regarded as having a lack of ‘moral maturity’.

this man clearly shows a lack of moral maturity as he does not abide by the law and commiting many serious offences such as malicious damage, assaulting police and resisting arrest. he also shows very little respect for the police as he angrily spat on them.
